Meet The GenXit Project: Our 24-month plan to retire abroad.
We have a confession to make.
For the last two years, the “Happy Trekkers” channel has been pretty quiet. We stopped posting travel videos. We stopped sharing road trips. To the outside world, it looked like we just gave up.
But on the inside, we were scrambling.
A few years ago, a cancer scare forced MJ and me to look at our lives, our stressful jobs, our high cost of living, and our “someday” retirement plans, and realize the math didn’t work. We didn’t want to wait until 65 to be free.
So, we made a decision. We aren’t just going on another vacation. We are leaving.

What is the GenXit Project?
Unlike our old travel vlogs, this isn’t about pretty sunsets. This is about logistics.
Over the next 24 months, we are documenting the brutal reality of disentangling ourselves from the American system. We will share:

The Scouting: Honest reports on healthcare, safety, and rent in countries like Portugal, Thailand, and Panama.
The Move: Selling the house, shipping the cat, and handling the taxes.
